“Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?” is a song by the American rock band Chicago, released in 1969 as the first single from their debut album, “Chicago Transit Authority.” The song was written and sung by Robert Lamm, the band’s keyboardist and vocalist. It features a distinctive horn section and a jazzy, rock-infused sound that became characteristic of the band’s early work. The lyrics playfully question the concept of time and its relevance in modern society, reflecting the cultural and existential themes prevalent in the late 1960s. The song achieved commercial success, reaching the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and remains one of Chicago’s signature songs.
